Backyard Fellowship: Hike and Lunch (July 16, 2022)

This time the “Backyard” was our church, and the hike was at the very local Los Alamitos Trail. The hikers met at the church at 10 AM and walked 1 ½ miles to Almaden Lake. We completed a 3 mile round trip keeping a leisurely pace that allowed for good conversation. Everyone arrived back at church a little before Noon to welcome those who wanted to just join in for lunch. It was a rather warm day for us all, but the slight breeze made it all bearable. We sat in the shade and enjoyed our packed lunches that each of us brought along. The highlight of the day was certainly the ice cream sundaes that our “trailblazer” provided as a sweet surprise for all. Yes, everyone left with big smiles on their faces.
