Build A Burger, Build a Future! Event ( June 25, 2022)

Our “Build a Burger” Event was fun and delicious for all who attended. We were delighted to welcome 53 to join us for burgers both beef and vegetarian with scrumptious sides of potato salad, baked beans, and spinach salad with strawberries and watermelon. We topped off our menu with a decadent dessert of Ghirardelli chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream.

Our guest speaker, Maria Nicolacoudis of Hearts and Minds, shared with us the wonderful services being provided for adults with the beginning stages of dementia. It was most informative to learn how their adult daycare works along with the adjoining preschool program which gives the young and old ways to work and learn from each other. Hearts and Minds is an non-profit organization (NPO) we are hoping to partner with at our church in Almaden location in the future.

So many helped from our congregation to make this wonderful summer event possible. Good food and a good cause is definitely worth celebrating. We look forward to our partnership with Hearts and Minds as we conceptualize the church of the future together.
