Weekly Inspiration (5/16/24)

We gaze upward because we love the one who has taken our hearts with him to our eternal home. We gaze down because this is our sphere of action. And we gaze around because these are the holy companions with whom we journey homeward and find ourselves already home.

Poem of the week

by Steve Garnaas-Holmes

O Great Divine Spirit,
energy of love, furnace of joy,
star at the heart of every galaxy,
warmth at the heart of every being,
sun from whom all living things receive life:
you are the brightness of which our love
is a small candle's imitation.
You are the struck match of all life.
Ignite us with your love,
burn in us with your beauty.
En-flame us with joy and delight,
with courage and wisdom.
Let no other energy drive us but you alone,
that our lives may shine with the light
of your kindness and mercy and grace.
