We Welcome The Reverend Karen Cuffie - Adventure Awaits

We welcome our new permanent rector, Rev. Karen Cuffie to ECA. As you may be aware Rev. Karen was here at ECA in the early years of her path to become a priest. We are blessed to have her loving, guiding presence in our spiritual lives. Along with her enthusiasm to become part of our lives, we are inviting her to share in our community.

Karen has moved into the rectory and will let us know her preferred schedule of being at the church office. I feel very confident and excited that as ECA’s future unfolds, we will be in good hands.

The Reverend Karen Cuffie’s Bio

Karen was ordained to the priesthood in 2016. Prior to ordained ministry, Karen was an elementary school music teacher, served five years on active duty in the USAF, and began a long, challenging career raising five children as a stay at home mom. Her family is uniquely diverse, which has helped form her theology around beloved community.

Karen attended Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Northern VA, and Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA. She loves to sing, play piano, do jigsaw puzzles, and knit for her granddaughters.

A Note from Karen

Thank you for your warm welcome. I felt very loved! ECA is a beautiful community and there’s no doubt in my mind that the Holy Spirit has guided us to this place and time. I look forward to knowing more about what is now, and is yet to come!

Blessings and peace,

Karen+
