Introducing Stacey Grossman - Our New Interim Pastor

It is my joy and honor to join you as your interim

pastor. I look forward to coming to know you and

all that you do in the Almaden Valley and beyond. I

anticipate doing God filled joyous ministry with you

through the end of the year.

I live in Novato, up in Marin County, and have served

almost my entire ordained ministry in the Diocese of

California. I was baptized at the “old” All Saints, Wat-

sonville when we were still one diocese.

Since 1996, I have served five congregations in transi-

tion/interim time. I also had a wonderful fifteen year

run at as rector of the Church of the Nativity in San

Rafael. I took a year out about seven years ago to do

the work to qualify as a hospital/spiritual care chap-

lain, but God called me back to the parish. She has a

wonderful sense of humor!!

Outside of God and the church, I find my joy lying on my belly in nature with my camera. I was given “the travel bug” at a very

early age, having lived in Hong Kong for several years as a child and traveling at that time all around Asia. I spent a semester

in Paris in college and some time in the Big Apple getting a degree in finance. I love exploring new places.

Personally, I am single and have lived a monastic life since 2005 in friendship with the Order of the Holy Cross, a men’s

religious order. I have been a competitive rower for thirty years and am “just about” to step back into a rowing shell for the

first time since a big accident in 2019.

During the Pandemic, I was rescued by a wonderful Corgi named Dazzle. Who knew that a Corgi would make me the most

popular person in my neighborhood?

I am planning to be at church on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. I have been welcomed by absolutely everyone, and I am

available of course when I am at church, and by email and phone. Please do reach out.

With love and prayers,

Peace,

Stacey+
