New Rector Announcement!!!

Jeremiah 29: 11

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I am writing to let everyone know that we now know what the Lord’s plans for us are.

I am very excited to announce the next rector to join us here at ECA is the Reverend Karen Cuffie. Reverend Karen will begin her ministry with us on Oct 1st, 2024.

She is currently the Rector of St. Stephen’s in the Field, San Jose and St. John’s the Divine, Morgan Hill. We as a Vestry believe that Rev. Karen will lead and guide us in our spiritual lives and worship, bring compassion in pastoral care, renew life in our church mission and future, and work collaboratively with our lay leadership. We are feeling confident and pleased that Rev. Karen is coming to ECA.

Rev. Stacey Grossman will be finishing her time of Interim Rector with us on Aug 31st. We are grateful for her presence and caring for us during our time of transition. We will be having supply priests during September.

We started the process of looking for our next permanent rector over two years ago with the announcement of Rev. Shelley Denney’s retirement. We, as a congregation, have prayed and allowed ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit in the work of developing our profile, interviewing potential candidates, and discerning what God’s will is for us. Thank you to each of you for your faithful dedication through this transition time.
