Happy Birthday ECA!! - A Note from the Stewardship Team

First Friday Potluck

Mark your calendars for Friday Nov 3rd for another First Friday event. It is ECA’s birthday celebration and everyone in the congregation is welcome to attend. It will again be a Holy Spirit potluck. Bring a dish to share, your own utensils, dishes , and beverages. Hope to see everyone there!

As we draw near to November, your Stewardship Team is working on a month of thanksgiving.  We are thankful for the Episcopal Church in Almaden, Rev. Stacey, the Vestry, and the Transition Team who are preparing for calling a Rector.

So, during the month of November we celebrate our anniversary and prepare for a new Rector with spiritual and financial support.  We will hear from our interim Rector, Rev. Stacey, and a few of our parishioners on these themes.  We are looking toward In-Gathering on November 19.  Pray and be watchful.

Best Regards,
George Romer

From the Stewardship Team – Kelli Casale, Marianne Schmidt, George Romer, and Rev. Stacey

P.S. from Stacey - Don’t forget to bring a birthday card for ECA on Sunday…when I will be “delivering” one of several “sermons on the amount” (stewardship pun!)

P.P.S. - We also give thanks for our ongoing 56 year old relationship with CCAV. To honor that relationship and in celebration of All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day and All Souls Day, we are creating an “ofrenda,” or a home altar, to celebrate these days with our partner church. You won’t be able to miss it when you come to church!  We invite members of both congregations to bring a picture(s) of a loved one who has died. We will leave the altar up until Friday, November 10, Veterans Day.
