Rectory Work Day-THIS SATURDAY

Thanks to all who have helped with the Rectory refurbishment so far.  It's looking good, but we still have some final follow up items to finish.  There will be a second Rectory refurbishment work day on Saturday, April 15, meeting at 9:00 a.m.  Please join us at 6884 Burnside Dr. if you can help.

A pizza lunch will be provided.

VBS – Kids’ Camp-Adventuring in the Arts

WE NEEED YOUR HELP!

We have lost our momentum with our Kids’ Camps in our neighborhood. Would you believe that our camper families now have college graduates and their youngest ones are getting their driver’s licenses? So, we need to rebuild again. How could you help?

Do you have families you know with children aged 6 to 10 years? Do you have families living on your streets with children aged for our camp? Could you share our camp flyer with those families?

If you are working at church when someone drops by with a registration form and our office isn’t open, could you accept their form. If you have a key to the church, please put the form in my mailbox or Ruthanne’s. If not, put it in our locked mailbox outside.

Families may be hesitant to sign up since they don’t see lots of activities on our church site and haven’t for some time. Here’s a chance for us to begin rebuilding. Could you help? It would be greatly appreciated.

"SAVE THE DATE" Saturday April 29th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

On Sat. April 29th we will have a Joint congregational fellowship event. We will be gathering in the afternoon in Fellowship Hall to share some time with each other and also have more information about "Church of the Future." Details will be coming, hope to see many of you there!

Music Director candidates selected for auditions

The Music Director Search committee has finished interviews with candidates who applied to be ECA’s next Music Director/Organist. The committee was impressed with two of the applicants and will be holding auditions with them the weekend after Easter. The search committee will then collect feedback from choir members and others who participate in or observe the auditions and meet to make a recommendation to the wardens and vestry as to who will be the best person to be our next worship music leader. Our goal is to have the person start serving in the position starting in June. Please keep our efforts and discernment in your prayers.

* * AFTERNOON SOCIAL * *

When: Thursday, April 20, 2023

Time: 4pm to 6pm

Where: ECA Fellowship Hall

Bring: snacks to share

You do not need to RSVP, and it's does not cost any money.  You do not have to dress up, unless you want to, and if you are coming from work and don't have time to bring a snack, just come on by anyway!  We would love to see you!

Starting in April the Afternoon Social will be on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4pm to 6pm. We will need “Hosts” for each gathering. Now don't get scared--“hosting” just means you need to unlock/lockup the church.  That reminds me, we will likely only have the fellowship hall doors opened, NOT the front door, so drive on around the back and come on inside!  When the weather gets better, we may even BBQ!

We already have some people signed up, so grab a spot while you still can.

20 April      Cecily Martino - bring your baby books and prepare to look at photos and share some fun stories

If you are interested in volunteering to open/close the church, please leave a message on our Contact Us portal for Wendy or Susanne and let them know when you are available to ‘Host’.

Prayer Vine  Kathleen Eagan in the new director of the Prayer Vine. If you have any prayer requests, please leave a message for her through our Contact Us portal.

Here is a direct link to our weekly “An Episcopal Sermon” podcast.

Each weekly podcast episode is a live recording of the Gospel reading followed by the sermon based on that reading from our Sunday services. A new episode is posted on our website every Monday (in case you missed it on Sunday). This podcast provides thought provoking messages that can be listened to anywhere at any time.

Enjoy!
